NIDO Sweden is an organisation aimed at improving Nigeria mainly in the technical, professional and educational fields. We are a group of dedicated academics and professionals who meet to discuss issues at home and explore what contributions, especially from Sweden, can be made to benefit Nigeria and Nigerians.

Our Mission
NIDO Sweden is a non-partisan organisation aimed at improving Nigeria mainly in the technical, professional and educational fields, launched in February 2002 at the Nordic History Museum, Stockholm, Sweden by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Grounded in the belief that the Nigerian Diaspora is a powerful agent for economic and social transformation, NIDO Sweden promotes structured engagement through programs, partnerships, policy dialogue, and advocacy that create measurable impact in both Sweden and Nigeria.
Through inclusivity, collaboration, and shared purpose, NIDO Sweden aspires to serve as a trusted bridge between Nigerians in Sweden and key stakeholders in Nigeria, enabling collective action, professional excellence, and sustainable development.
